My name is David Mark Zamora. My hometown is Raytown, Missouri. I started in radio during high school and then went into television. My passion for music has been the driving force in my life. I have been a professional broadcast cameraman for the past 30 years.
I once saw an interview where the people were talking about a metaphor comparing how David conquered Goliath with just a rock. They then pointed out ".. how far have you thrown your rock?" It made me think about how many people I have met during my career that I have helped and learned from. Too many to count. So, I decided that maybe my rock is supposed to be thrown further than just from a camera stand. So, I created DZRadio Tunes to help me throw my rock as far as I can.
Helping others is something my family has always done, so it is the heart and soul of DZRadio Tunes along with the joy of listening to great music. Today's technology has enabled me to pursue a dream I have had since I was 18 years old; having my own radio station. It's an opportunity to use my God-given talents and share with the world things that I have learned. We try and bring a positive outlook to everyone. Through music we want to bring Peace and love and that feel good mood back to the people.
On January 2, 2017, my former wife Glenda, and I launched DZRadio Tunes, Tunes & Tales, Imagination Radio. We started with 17 listeners and now one year later we have recorded 10,056 listens. Our first goal is 50,000. This past year we were involved in many charitable drives and events making great strides in our goals.
This picture is when DZRadio Tunes created a Flood Relief Drive for the victims of Texas. We raised over 8 pallets of water, 500 lbs. of clothing, 4 pallets of cleaning supplies, diapers, bleach, tooth paste, soap, trash bags, and a generator. With the donation from a local construction company, we personally delivered to Rosenberg, Texas, 5 days after the campaign was created. We feel that was a great start to demonstrate we can and will make a difference.
DZRadio Tunes aims to help communities give their positive messages and events more exposure. We strive to provide positive and enlightening projects and activities for children to participate in and try to make a difference where ever we can. We intend to join in as many campaigns the world creates as we can to provide a more empowering environment for families. Teaming up with other local organizations will allow us to get their information and goals to more people, therefore increasing the hope that all will soon have that positive joyful feeling each and every day.
With a TALENTED team of volunteer music lovers that have that compassion for entertainment and community involvement, DZRadio Tunes is ready to take on the challenge of the media world. We are not in it for the competition, but because of our hearts love great music and to have the ability to help children and adults that may need some encouragement. We believe MUSIC, Peace, and Love Thy Neighbor, is key to make the World a better place. Rocking the World for a better tomorrow.
